Biography
Angela Dayton has first-hand knowledge of the skills and competencies that American businesses are looking for in the future workforce. She gained this knowledge by meeting with over 2,000 industry leaders (Chief Executive Officers, Senior Vice Presidents, and Human Resource Directors) of small, medium, and large corporations, such as Hospital Corporation of America, Marriott, Astrazeneca, Gore, Inc., BMW, Snap-On Tools, Bank of America, Shell Oil, Industrial Precision Components Corp., IBM, etc. as well as industry associations like the National Association of Manufacturers, the National Restaurant Association, the National Retail Foundation, the Automotive Youth Educational Foundation, the Financial Industry Roundtable, CompTIA, and many others.
Angela has helped identify and develop solutions for the critical workforce challenges facing American businesses. Her knowledge and expertise in the Your Steps Toward Success Career Resource Workbook will offer new insights and prepare any student who is ready to tackle the hottest careers of the future.
Angela has ten years of training and development experience. She has served as the Coordinator for President George W. Bush’s High Growth Job Training Initiative, a Senior Instructional Designer for the U.S. Department of Labor, a Training and Communications Project Manager for Morgan Stanley, an Independent Facilitator for Franklin Covey, a Trainer for Delta Air Lines, and the National Western Region Vice President for the college division of DECA. Angela has also started and operated two small businesses – AP Management and Dayton Consulting.
Angela holds a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from Utah State University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Technical Sales from Weber State University. She has been a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), DECA (an Association of Marketing Students), and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
The phrase “Step Toward Success” represents Angela Dayton, and now she is sharing her expertise and knowledge through the Your Steps Toward Success Career Resource Workbook, Facilitator Guide, and seminar presentations.
